Host a Food Drive

Thank you for your interest in conducting a Drive for the Sudbury Community Food Pantry! We count on food/non-food donations and food/non-food drives for much of our shelf stable food, toiletries, pet food and diapers. Thank you for helping us stock our shelves with nutritious and useful items for our clients!

  1. Set Parameters for your Drive:
    1. Who are your donors and how will you reach out to them?
    2. What will you collect? Here is our list of Most Wanted Items. Some groups like to collect specific items, e.g. a Pet Food Drive, Cereal Drive or a Diaper Drive.
    3. When will you hold your drive?
    4. Where will you collect your donations?
    5. Why are you doing a food drive? It is important to share your mission with your donors!
  2. Sorting your items:
All donations must be date-checked, sorted into categories and labeled before dropping them off at the SCFP. Click Here for our Printable Labels template.
Here is a list of items we CANNOT accept:
    • Non-commercially packaged food products (home canned goods)
    • Products that are open or have been removed from their original packages
    • Non-commercial food product prepared for consumption (cakes baked in a home kitchen)
    • Perishable food products unless specific arrangements have been made with the pantry in advance
    • Product that is past the labeled expiration date
  3. Packing your items:
We accept donations in bags or boxes.
  4. Delivering your items:
We ask that you deliver your items during the following time slots:
    Monday or Thursday, 8:00am-9:00am
    Tuesday or Friday, 8:30am-11:30am
We are located at 534 Boston Post Road in Wayland.
  5. Ready to start your drive? Please fill out the Community Drive Form to your right so we can answer any questions and know when to expect you.
